Việt NamViệt Nam09/12/2024

Dai Ngai 1 Bridge is over 3km long, with the main bridge section measuring 2.59km and 21.5m wide, crossing the Dinh An channel of the Hau River, near the East Sea estuary, connecting Tra Cu district (Tra Vinh province) to Cu Lao Dung district (Soc Trang province).

The main section of the cable-stayed bridge has two A-shaped towers, each 110m high (measured from the bridge deck), with a main span configuration of (210+450+210)m. This is the second largest cable-stayed bridge in Vietnam, after the Can Tho Bridge and equal to the Vam Cong Bridge.

Package 15-XL is being implemented by a consortium of contractors led by Deo Ca Group. The implementation period is 1,250 days, with expected completion in June 2028.

Upon completion, Dai Ngai 1 Bridge, along with Rach Mieu Bridge, Ham Luong Bridge, and Co Chien Bridge, will enhance transportation capacity for the Mekong Delta region, creating convenient transportation connections between the southern coastal provinces and Ho Chi Minh City; shortening travel time, reducing transportation costs, expanding trade, and breaking the monopoly of National Highway 1A.

The Dai Ngai Bridge construction project, located on National Highway 60, spans 15km. Its starting point intersects with National Highway 54 in Hung Hoa commune, Tieu Can district (Tra Vinh province), and its end point intersects with the Southern Hau River National Highway in Long Duc commune, Long Phu district (Soc Trang province). This is a Group A project, a special-grade road transport infrastructure project, with an investment capital of 7,962 billion VND. The entire project includes 5 interchanges and 7 bridges, divided into 4 bidding packages.
