Reprimanding 2 former district chairmen in Dak Lak

On February 6, the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission (EC) has just released the results of its 28th meeting, reviewing and concluding many contents related to violations by a number of leaders and former leaders of agencies and units.

Accordingly, the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission has disciplined Mr. Hoa Quang Khiem, former Chairman of the M'Drak District People's Committee for the 2015-2020 term, due to shortcomings and violations in the process of state management of land and forestry and in implementing inspection conclusions.

For allowing many violations, including shortcomings in forestry management, two former district chairmen in Dak Lak were disciplined with a reprimand (Illustration photo: Uy Nguyen).

Mr. Khiem also violated the direction of anti-corruption work, propaganda about the Law on Anti-Corruption and guiding documents to cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers; and did not properly implement the transfer of work positions for cadres, civil servants and public employees according to regulations.

For the violations, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission disciplined Mr. Hoa Quang Khiem with a reprimand.

Regarding Mr. Nguyen Nhu But, former Chairman of Buon Don District People's Committee for the 2015-2020 term, it was determined that there were violations in forest management and protection, land use planning, land management and in directing the implementation of inspection conclusions.

Besides, in directing the work of preventing and fighting corruption, Mr. But also made shortcomings, failed to develop a program and plan for preventing and fighting corruption, and failed to guide and implement regulations on transparency of assets and income.

The work of handling and resolving complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections from citizens is still slow and prolonged.

The Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission has disciplined Mr. Nguyen Van Nhat, Director of Nam Ka Special-Use Forest Management Board for the period 2014-2020, with a Warning.

Mr. Nhat has committed violations and shortcomings in reviewing, updating, and reporting forest developments; not managing and protecting forests well, causing forest land and natural forests to decline, affecting state resources.

Mr. Nhat also created documents and signed to approve payment vouchers for supporting money for the shock troops of the communes in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 in coordinating forest protection patrols, not in accordance with regulations.

During the meeting, the Inspection Committee also disciplined Mr. Dinh Xuan Dieu - Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong Pac district, former Deputy Director of the Department of Finance - with a reprimand.

However, the statute of limitations for disciplinary action has now expired, so the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission requires Mr. Dieu to seriously and deeply learn from the shortcomings and violations that have been pointed out and not to repeat them.

In addition, the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission transferred the process of reviewing and disciplining Mr. Lam Tu Toan, former Director of the Department of Construction, and Mr. Vu Minh Thanh, former Deputy Director of the Department of Construction, due to many shortcomings in their work.

The Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission requested the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee to consider and discipline Mr. Tran Vinh Canh (former Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council for the 2016-2021 term) according to its authority.
