According to the planning of the high-speed railway route through Binh Thuan, it is about 156km long, with two modern stations and synchronous traffic connections to highways and coastal routes.


On the morning of November 16, information from the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province said that provincial leaders had just inspected the construction site of the North-South high-speed railway project through the province.

The investment policy for the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis was just submitted by the Government to the National Assembly in October 2024.

According to the initial planning in Binh Thuan, the high-speed railway route through the province is about 156km long.

Of which, two stations are located at Phan Ri station (Bac Binh district) and Phan Thiet station. In addition, four railway infrastructure maintenance stations are planned.

Regarding the proposal to add Song Phan station, the Ministry of Transport identified this as a potential station and assigned the Provincial People's Committee to call for investment when conditions are met.

Phan Ri station is about 5km from Phan Ri Cua town center, the distance to Thap Cham station (Ninh Thuan) is 66.7km, the distance to Phan Thiet station is 65.4km.

The North-South high-speed railway passes through 20 provinces and cities, starting from Ngoc Hoi station (Hanoi capital) and ending at Thu Thiem station (HCMC).

Phan Ri Station is a passenger station with 3 functional areas including: the area directly serving passengers, the square, the parking lot with an area of ​​6 - 8 hectares. The service and commercial area has an area of ​​10 - 15 hectares, the urban service area has an area of ​​250 - 300 hectares.

Within the scope of the project, public investment capital will be used to invest in functional areas directly serving the reception and departure of guests. The part serving service and commercial purposes will be implemented by the locality calling for investors.

The station is designed with two upper floors, two terminals and four lines located on the second floor, and the waiting room is located on the first floor.

Parking lot planning and station square construction will be arranged within the station clearance area...

For the traffic routes connecting to the station, the locality will select strategic investors with sufficient capacity to invest and allocate resources to build traffic routes connecting to the station.

At the survey, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai said that the investment project to build the North-South high-speed railway section through the province, once completed, will contribute to promoting the province's socio-economic development.

He requested relevant departments, branches and the People's Committee of Bac Binh district to study planning options for the connecting route to Phan Ri station.
