Inauguration of Creative Park in Thu Duc City

(NLDO) - The Creative Park opens its doors to the public with a series of exciting activities, creating a space where tradition and modernity intersect.

On the afternoon of January 11, the People's Committee of Thu Duc City (HCMC) organized a program to welcome the city into its 5th year (January 1, 2021 - January 1, 2025) and the inauguration ceremony of the Creative Park.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai attended the event.

At the program, Thu Duc City also announced and awarded prizes to honor outstanding citizens, creative awards and academic achievements of students at all levels in 2024.

The Creative Park is a project proposed by Thu Duc City, following the success of the Saigon Riverside Park (from Ba Son Bridge to Thu Thiem Tunnel) and has been approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to further improve the section from Ba Son Bridge to Thu Thiem Bridge.

Inspired by core values: Creativity, Culture, Festivals, Connection and Community, the park promises to become an ideal destination, hosting cultural, artistic, sports and educational activities to promote creativity and community connection.

The project was built with socialized resources with the support of SonKim Group and a number of businesses, completed after 2 months of implementation.

The park has a modern, creative design with many amenities such as a green walking path, a central stage, a multi-purpose sports area, a skateboarding rink, a mini basketball court, a pickleball court and a system of amenities serving the people.

A special highlight is the 30-meter long graffiti wall, with youthful and dynamic colors, expressing creativity.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Thu Duc City People's Committee Hoang Tung emphasized that Thu Duc City has made significant changes after 4 years of establishment.

In more than 1 year of effectively implementing policies under Resolution 98 of the National Assembly, the city has achieved many achievements in socio-economic development with trade and service value increasing by more than 25% each year. Many important projects have been completed such as Nam Ly Bridge, Long Dai Bridge, Saigon Riverside Park and Ho Thi Tu Book Street. The city has also started construction of Ring Road 3 and is expected to complete Ring Road 2 in 2025.

In 2024, Thu Duc City also won two national digital transformation awards.
