“Ultimatum” to medical project
In Tam Ky City, after a survey at Quang Nam General Hospital, after inspecting the inpatient treatment area, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung noted a paradox that caused frustration: While the number of patients being treated at the hospital is overloaded, having to place beds in the waiting corridor in unsafe conditions, the High-Tech Treatment Area of the Quang Nam General Hospital project has basically completed the rough construction with a scale of 7 floors and 1 rooftop floor but cannot be put into use.
The representative of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project investor, said that the High-Tech Treatment Area is facing some difficulties, such as the construction and installation of the project so far due to the pipeline system, equipment, and completion and cleaning of the project, which is expected to be implemented in early October 2024.

In addition, there is still a delay in organizing bidding and installing equipment... Requesting quotes from suppliers is difficult; prices on electronic information sites are numerous but not uniform, so choosing a basis for price appraisal is very difficult to determine.
The problem of the High-Tech Treatment Area of the Quang Nam General Hospital project is also what the project of Renovation and Upgrading of the Que Son District Medical Center (TTYT) encountered when it completed the examination, emergency, and high-tech professional block with a scale of 5 floors but could not yet organize the bidding and install equipment.
This project has been put into use since May 2024, but inside there is no medical equipment or supplies to ensure medical examination and treatment according to people's wishes.
Because of the lack of investment in new equipment, the health center is still using the old X-ray room. However, the location of the X-ray room is currently in the next construction area of the Que Son District Health Center Renovation and Upgrade project, greatly affecting the construction progress.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung also inspected the progress of the Tam Anh Bac Commune Health Station (Nui Thanh). This project is behind schedule due to the impact of land clearance for 2 households; one household has 63 square meters of land located in the area where the examination building is being built, causing a delay of 2/3 of the total construction volume of the project.
Regarding medical projects, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to quickly coordinate with units to develop a plan to organize the bidding for medical equipment and supplies and finalize a specific time to report to the Provincial People's Committee as soon as possible. The investor also coordinated with the Que Son District Medical Center to develop a plan to relocate the X-ray room to continue implementing the construction of other items.
“In the case of Tam Anh Bac Medical Station, the locality actively mobilized people to agree on a compensation plan and hand over the site. In the immediate future, we will focus on households with 63 square meters of land affected to implement the construction project. Medical facilities are all urgent, so we request that relevant units focus and proactively remove obstacles to promptly serve the people,” emphasized Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung.
Focus on speeding up progress
In addition to the health sector, during the survey trip, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung inspected many other projects in the fields of culture, sports, education and transportation.

At the Project to promote the value of the Huynh Thuc Khang Memorial House (Tien Canh Commune, Tien Phuoc), comrade Le Van Dung acknowledged the difficulties in compensation and site clearance, the problem that has caused construction progress to be blocked since the Tien Phuoc District People's Committee became the investor and has now been handed over to the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board.
Specifically, the project is still stuck with compensation and site clearance for 4 households in the lower corner of the relic value promotion area and households on route DT616.
Comrade Le Van Dung also came to inspect the construction progress of the Tam Ky Stadium Upgrade and Renovation Project and the Athletes' Housing. Currently, the Tam Ky Stadium upgrade and renovation project has basically completed stands A, A1, A2, B, C, D.

The automatic irrigation system has constructed drainage ditches around the football field, the field drainage system and the automatic irrigation system, and the grass field is under construction. The investment project to renovate the athletics track has basically completed the construction of the EPDM plastic foundation. The housing project (dormitory) for the national team and the fence of the D stand have not yet been constructed.
In the field of education, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the construction progress of two projects in Que Son district, including Que Son High School and Tran Dai Nghia High School.
Que Son High School project with a total investment of nearly 60 billion VND. The scale of the classroom block design is 3 floors (20 classrooms). After completion, Que Son High School will meet the learning needs of nearly 1,000 students, helping the school meet national standards and be in line with the urban development plan of Dong Phu (Que Son).

The project implementation period is from 2021 to 2023, however, due to difficulties in finding land for leveling the ground, the project is behind schedule. Up to now, the items have been basically completed and only the sports area remains. The construction unit has requested direction to adjust the design because if the land is leveled with a high foundation, it will affect the surrounding residential area.
Regarding the Tran Dai Nghia High School project, after a delay due to compensation and site clearance issues, construction units are now urgently completing the items.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung acknowledged the difficulties and objective obstacles that the relevant units are facing; at the same time, he requested the units to be proactive and completely resolve the obstacles. In particular, continue to mobilize people to agree with the compensation and site clearance plans, and promptly hand over the land for project implementation.
For the sports area at Que Son High School, the investor should adjust the design and report to the Provincial People's Committee for approval as soon as possible to avoid construction as per the original design, which would affect the people.
“For Tam Ky Stadium, the construction unit must determine the time pressure, organize human resources and machinery to work overtime day and night, complete the grass field in August and complete all remaining items before September 15, 2025, in time for the organization of the national football championship” - the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed.
