From November 27 to December 8, the “Italian Flavors” Exhibition will take place at Casa Italia (Hanoi), offering a unique experience where the senses are guided through a journey to discover the mysterious beauty of truffles - the “black pearl” of Italian cuisine.
The event is part of the Italian Cuisine Week 2024 organized by the Italian Embassy in coordination with the Italian Trade Office in Vietnam.
“The exhibition ‘Italian Flavors’ not only offers an opportunity to discover the quintessence of our cuisine, but also celebrates our creativity and love for nature. This is part of our efforts to bring Italian cultural and culinary values closer to the Vietnamese community,” said Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Marco Della Seta.

Ambassador Marco Della Seta added: “Currently, the demand and conditions for Vietnamese people to access truffles are increasing. Several species of truffles have been found in Yunnan province, China, so in the near future, it is very likely that we will find truffles in Vietnam.”
According to Co-founder and Head Chef of TUNG dining and Å by TUNG Hoang Tung, the exhibition is an opportunity to enjoy the taste of truffles in a multi-sensory exhibition about the history of this mushroom and its application in contemporary cuisine.
Attending the exhibition, people get closer to truffles and enjoy their flavors under the hands of talented chefs.
In addition, visitors will have a multi-sensory experience in 4 areas: Image Station, Scent Station, VR Station and Interactive Station.

Accordingly, if the Image Station is where the story of truffles is told through artistic photos and special documentaries, the Scent Station is where the audience closes their eyes to let their hearing take over.
In particular, this Station will take the audience to explore the unique aromas of truffles contained in glass cages - from the smell of moist soil, the aroma of tree roots, the intensity of garlic and cloves, to the irresistible charm of truffles in cuisine.
Returning to the visual experience journey, the VR Station is a destination that takes the audience to a completely different dimension, immersed in virtual reality technology, traveling through the Italian forests to witness the truffle harvesting process under the guidance of truffle hunting dogs.
At the Interactive Station, audiences get to experience first-hand interesting historical, cultural and geographical knowledge about truffles.
The exhibition promises to bring unique and interesting experiences, helping the Vietnamese public understand more about one of the great achievements of Italian cuisine and culture.
