In Binh Duong, there is a very magnificent irrigation project. In addition to its irrigation function, the beautiful scenery here is chosen by many people as a check-in point as well as an attractive tourist destination. That is Phuoc Hoa irrigation dam located in An Thai commune, Phu Giao district, Binh Duong province and part of Chon Thanh town, Binh Phuoc province.
Phuoc Hoa Irrigation Dam started construction in August 2008 and was inaugurated in November 2011. With a reservoir area of 2,077 hectares, Phuoc Hoa Irrigation Dam is responsible for improving the environment and water quality of the downstream areas of the Saigon River and the Vam Co Dong River.
Coming to Phuoc Hoa irrigation dam, we also come to the green color of flowers and fruits around An Thai commune, Phu Giao district. The beautiful scenery of this irrigation dam makes many people know and come to admire it as a famous tourist destination.
Not only does the main dam area have a magical beauty, this project also has a water channel that stretches more than 40 km down to Dau Tieng Lake, which is equally beautiful. This channel is winding, with many bends and turns due to the terrain before pouring water into Dau Tieng Lake with a flow rate of about 50 m3 /second, creating the Dau Tieng - Phuoc Hoa irrigation project.
On this canal, there are 2 aqueduct bridges that currently hold the record for the highest aqueduct bridge in Vietnam, which is the Cam Xe stream aqueduct bridge (located in Minh Tan commune, Dau Tieng district). This bridge is 700 m long, from the canal surface to the bridge surface is over 19 m high, holding the national record for the height of aqueduct bridges, with a water transfer speed of 55 m 3 / second. The second aqueduct bridge crosses Suoi Thon in Tan Long commune, Phu Giao district, the height from the stream surface to the bridge is 16 m.
