In Tanh Linh, ethnic minorities currently account for about 13% of the district's population, including many groups: Cham, Raglai, Cho ro, Co ho, Dao, Hre, Hoa, Khmer, Muong, Nung, Tay, Thai... From the potential conditions of the mountainous district, Tanh Linh has determined to focus on developing key types of tourism such as ecology, resort, picnic, discovery, community tourism, and tourism to experience agricultural and forestry production activities associated with forest protection and development.

Recently, Tanh Linh has implemented the Rural Tourism Development Program in the construction of new rural areas, thereby reviewing the content and selecting to pilot a number of suitable models for the period 2023 - 2025. Including the model of exploiting the potential of natural landscapes, organizing tours under the forest canopy associated with forest care and protection to develop eco-tourism products, resorts, and learning about the culture of the Co Ho ethnic group in the Ta My stream area - La Ngau commune. In addition, the locality also implemented the project "Preserving and promoting the good traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development" under the National Target Program for Socio-economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021 - 2030. In addition, the project "Improving the quality of cultural life of rural people, preserving and promoting traditional cultural values in a sustainable direction associated with rural tourism development" under the National Target Program for New Rural Development for the period 2021 - 2025 is also being implemented. Along with that, historical and cultural relics, traditional festivals such as the Hoai Duc - Bac Ruong Victory Revolutionary Historical Relic Site, Ky Yen Festival at Lac Tanh Communal House, festivals of ethnic minorities... are all being focused on restoring, preserving, conserving and renovating.

Responding to the National Tourism Year 2023 - Binh Thuan - Green Convergence, the locality successfully organized the Cultural Exchange Festival of ethnic minorities in Tanh Linh district in mid-April at Thac Ba Eco-tourism Area. It is known that this activity brought together all 7 communes and towns with ethnic minorities in the district and attracted a large number of people and tourists to participate. In addition, Tanh Linh District Youth Union coordinated to build QR codes for 2 locations: Hoai Duc - Bac Ruong Victory Revolutionary Historical Site and Thac Ba Eco-tourism Area to promote destinations in the district... The local government has also paid attention to the propaganda work on the role and significance of tourism development in Tanh Linh, especially in localities with development potential such as Dong Kho, La Ngau, Duc Binh, Duc Thuan, Gia An, Lac Tanh. On the other hand, we also actively guide travel agencies and journalists to learn about the potential for tourism development in the district in the area of Bien Lac Lake (Gia An commune), Ta Pao dam and Long Mountain (Dong Kho commune), Thac Ba (Duc Thuan commune)...

Another advantage is that the DT.720 road is connected to the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway, which has just been put into operation, shortening the travel time between Tanh Linh and other localities in and outside the province. This creates favorable conditions for tourists to visit, relax, and have fun at tourist attractions in the district as well as shop for typical products here (Tanh Linh rice, Tanh Linh snakehead fish, Dong Dan turmeric starch, etc.). In the coming time, the locality will focus on developing tourism along with a variety of commercial services such as entertainment, culture - arts, physical education - sports, accommodation, transportation, and community health care. Along with promoting propaganda and calling for and encouraging economic sectors to invest in restaurants, hotels, entertainment services, etc. to better serve tourism activities in Tanh Linh. Tanh Linh also hopes to continue receiving attention from relevant levels and sectors, contributing to creating conditions for the locality to implement solutions to preserve and develop the culture of ethnic minorities in the area associated with tourism development.

In fact, Tanh Linh tourism is still in its infancy and currently there is only one large-scale project invested by enterprises, which is Thac Ba Eco-tourism Area, so the exploitation is not commensurate with the potential and advantages of the district. However, in the past year, Tanh Linh district welcomed more than 62,000 visitors and is expected to welcome over 70,000 visitors in 2023, aiming to soon complete the target of welcoming 80,000 visitors in 2025...
