Opening of Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week 2024

(BLC) - On the evening of December 20, at the Provincial People's Square, the Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee solemnly held the opening ceremony of Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week 2024 with the theme "Returning to the majestic Lai Chau mountain peaks" to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Party Committee (October 10, 1949 - October 10, 2024); 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).

In his opening speech, Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of Lai Chau Tourism and Culture Week 2024 affirmed: Lai Chau Tourism and Culture Week 2024 is an important cultural and political event of the province. The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Coming to Lai Chau, visitors not only conquer the winding roads of one of the "Four Great Passes of the Northwest" - O Quy Ho; have many opportunities to conquer 6/10 highest mountain peaks in Vietnam; admire the majestic natural scenery, enjoy unique and impressive experiences in Lai Chau with the color of rhododendron flowers, sea of clouds, terraced fields full of golden ripe rice. Explore more than 30 historical - cultural relics and extremely rich and unique traditional cultural spaces of 20 ethnic groups living together in Lai Chau province.

The opening night of Lai Chau Tourism and Culture Week 2024 was solemnly and elaborately organized by Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee.
