In the past, weaving was a craft associated with the long-standing production practices of the Kho people.

Mr. Doan Van Thuan - Director of the Provincial Museum said: Weaving is a traditional craft that plays an important role, closely associated with the long-standing production practices of the K'ho people in La Da commune. In the past, weaving was a side job, attracting all working ages in the family to participate during the off-season. The skills and techniques in the process of completing the product are specifically passed down from the previous generation to the next generation through direct teaching methods.

Currently, due to the impact of the market economy, the household items of ethnic minorities in general and the K'ho people in La Da commune in particular are mostly made of plastic. Traditional items made from rattan and bamboo are becoming increasingly rare, especially those who know how to weave traditional items in the community are becoming fewer and fewer. Therefore, through the class, the Director of the Provincial Museum requested artisans and students to strictly follow the rules and regulations, be energetic and enthusiastic with their passion for traditional crafts during the teaching process; absorb and skillfully practice the weaving techniques passed down by their grandparents and ancestors.
