Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang attended the opening ceremony of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2023

On the evening of June 2, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2023 with the message "A world without distance" opened with the competition between the host team Da Nang (Vietnam) and the reigning champion of DIFF 2019 Finland.

With the theme “Peace for Humanity” opening a series of 5 fireworks nights lasting from June 2 to July 8, 2023, the opening night of DIFF 2023 painted a vivid picture of friendship, solidarity and peace, taking the audience on a sublime journey of light, music and art masterpieces.

Attending the opening ceremony were former Politburo member, former President Nguyen Xuan Phuc; Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang.

On the side of Da Nang City, there were Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City's National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Van Quang; Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh; Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of DIFF 2023 Ngo Thi Kim Yen, along with international guests, leaders, former leaders of the Party, State, Central Ministries, branches and localities.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh expressed that the success of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival in previous years has affirmed the attractiveness of DIFF in the hearts of the city's residents as well as domestic and foreign tourists.

This is the pride of Da Nang, and at the same time a challenge for the city to constantly strive to surpass, continue to improve the quality of organization and performance to build the brand of Da Nang International Fireworks Festival to be more and more worthy of everyone's expectations.

“This year's DIFF is a special festival because we and you have waited a long time - after a three-year hiatus, to be able to enjoy memorable moments together tonight, by the Han River.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the world to stagnate, we have become distant, so we hope that DIFF 2023 with the common theme "World without distance" will be a bridge to help remove all barriers so that everyone can enjoy together the artistic values, cultural beauty, together towards the aspiration for peace and prosperity" - Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh expressed.

With the participation of teams from the UK, Poland, Canada, France, Finland, Australia, Italy and Vietnam according to the themes of each performance night: "Peace for humanity", "Love without borders", "Conquering dreams", "Dance of nature", DIFF 2023 is a reunion of representatives of countries with long-standing traditions in the art of fireworks performance.

Together they will tell stories with light, with music, with the sublimation of art and emotion, promising to bring surprises and unforgettable impressions.

Along with that, accompanying events with focused investment in scale and attractive content will add more color and create new and unique experiences for people and tourists throughout the festival.

After the opening ceremony, there were performances by two teams from Da Nang (Vietnam) and Finland with the theme "Peace for Humanity". Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper would like to introduce the special fireworks performances of the two teams:
