On the morning of February 9 (January 12, At Ty year), Thai Thuy district held a traditional swimming festival on Diem Ho river.

This year's swimming festival has 120 athletes from 8 swimming teams of residential groups in Diem Dien town and Thai Thuong commune. On each swimming team, there are 15 swimmers, one person steering and one person calling the rhythm, all swimmers are healthy and have good techniques. According to the competition rules, the teams compete on the Diem Ho river, the section adjacent to Diem Dien estuary, in 3.5 laps with a total length of over 4km.

At exactly 9:10 a.m., the festival took place in a lively atmosphere amid the cheers and encouragement of the people and tourists from all over. At the end of the competition, the organizing committee awarded the first prize to the swimming team of Residential Group No. 9, the second prize to the swimming team of Diem Dien Sea Transport, the third prize to the swimming team of Thai Thuong commune, and the remaining swimming teams received consolation prizes.
