(Dan Tri) - When coming to Ninh Binh, many foreign tourists enjoy the experience of wearing brown shirts, holding fish traps, planting rice and bathing buffaloes.

Recently, a video recording a group of foreign tourists experiencing bathing and caring for buffaloes was widely shared on social networks, attracting thousands of likes and comments.

In the video, a person uses a plastic ladle to carefully clean the mud off the buffalo's body, while other visitors gently use massage tools on the buffalo.

This moment shows the special attraction of Vietnamese rural life to visitors from afar.

Many netizens expressed surprise at the image of a group of foreign tourists excitedly laughing and joking while participating in the buffalo bathing activity. Some opinions said that, besides high-end tourism services, tours to explore rural life in Vietnam have great potential thanks to their uniqueness and novelty.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Ms. Vu Thi Huyen - Manager of the Hang Trau tourist experience site in Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh - confirmed that the video was filmed by a tour guide while guests were participating in activities at the tourist site.

According to Ms. Huyen, experiential activities such as: bathing buffalo, catching fish in bamboo baskets, planting rice… take place every day, attracting a large number of international tourists. This activity has been implemented for more than a year, receiving positive feedback from tourists.

"We realize that foreign tourists coming to Ninh Binh often visit famous places such as Bai Dinh - Trang An or the ancient capital Hoa Lu, but do not have the opportunity to deeply experience the lives of local people. Therefore, we include these activities, giving them interesting and unique experiences that many other places do not have.

Foreign visitors love animals, they pet and make gentle movements as if to thank the buffalo for helping farmers with farming," Ms. Huyen shared.

Currently, the tourist destination offers two types of tours for visitors: Group tours with a fee of 75,000 VND/person, visitors experience some activities under the guidance of staff and a package tour with a tour guide for about 1.1 million VND/person with more than 10 experiences and meals.

Tourists from England, America, Germany... are often excited to experience farming work such as: feeding ducks, pulling rice seedlings, planting rice, herding and bathing buffalo... Meanwhile, tourists from Australia or Israel - who are familiar with the image of rice fields and buffaloes thanks to owning large farms - are more interested in catching fish in bamboo traps.

According to Ms. Huyen, most of the customers participating in farming activities are between 20-30 years old because they like practical experiences, while foreign customers in their 60s prefer a resort style.

The tourist experience destination of Hang Trau is located between the mountains and vast fields in Ninh Binh. After being renovated, this place is divided into many different areas, serving activities such as feeding ducks, catching crabs, planting rice, sowing seedlings, fishing, catching fish, or growing lotus flowers.

"These activities are especially attractive to foreign visitors because they often only see pictures in books or on the Internet, and have never directly waded into the fields, planted rice, or bathed buffalo.

Customers want to experience for themselves to better understand the lives of farmers, instead of just observing or watching videos," Ms. Huyen shared.

After being welcomed at the gate, visitors are given working tools and dressed in brown shirts like real farmers. Following the winding path along the fields, visitors are introduced to the history and culture of agriculture and admire paintings of rural life.

Next, visitors feed ducks, fish with a rod, catch fish with a trap, visit caves and bamboo forests. After a few hours, each visitor will practice sowing rice seedlings, wading in rice fields, bathing in waterfalls, riding buffaloes, and bathing buffaloes. After participating in outdoor activities, visitors can cook Vietnamese dishes such as making fried spring rolls, rice rolls, etc.

Many tourists touch buffalo for the first time, their hands and feet are covered in mud from planting rice... but they do not show any hesitation. The laughter and excitement bring tourists closer to and understand more about Vietnamese culture.

This form of life experience has been flourishing recently, attracting a lot of visitors. This promises to be a form of tourism chosen by many foreign visitors, besides visiting historical sites or famous scenic spots.
