On the night of January 5, the center of Ho Chi Minh City became a "sea of people" when hundreds of thousands of fans poured into District 1 and District 3 to "storm" to celebrate the AFF Cup 2024 championship of the Vietnamese team.

Joining the crowd at the intersection of Nguyen Thai Hoc - Tran Hung Dao (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), Luke Forrester (25 years old, UK) felt lucky to have come to Vietnam to travel at the exact time of the football match between Vietnam and Thailand.
He revealed that he had supported the Vietnamese team from the beginning and believed in the team's ability, but when Vietnam won, the enthusiastic cheers of the Vietnamese people still surprised him.

Luke Forrester and his friends wore Vietnam national team shirts and waved the red flag with a yellow star continuously. Not only that, he also comfortably high-fived passersby. "Everyone was cheering, clapping, waving flags all over the streets, which made me feel emotional too," he shared.
"Not only football fans but almost the whole country took to the streets to celebrate. I have never seen anything like this before. The atmosphere is really amazing!", Luke expressed.
Meanwhile, Chiara Petre, a German tourist, came to Vietnam for the first time and watched football on Bui Vien walking street. He said he was very excited about the bustling atmosphere and the spirit of supporting sports in Vietnam.
