US signs new security agreement with Ukraine . The US and Ukraine leaders will sign a new bilateral security agreement at the G7 summit today (June 13) with commitments to long-term defense and security cooperation.
“ We want to demonstrate that the United States will support the Ukrainian people, we stand with them and will continue to help address their security needs, not just tomorrow but into the future. We will send a signal to Russia of our resolve ,” said US national security adviser Jake Sullivan.
Although President Biden and President Zelensky will sign a new bilateral security agreement, the future US president can still cancel the agreement, according to a US official.
Russia announced the attack on Ukrainian air force facilities . The Russian Defense Ministry recently pointed out some achievements of Russian combat groups, the most prominent of which is the Western Combat Group, which caused Ukraine to lose more than 500 soldiers.
