According to the latest information, the iPhone 18 Pro processor chip will be manufactured on TSMC's 2nm process.
iPhone 18 Pro is the first iPhone equipped with a 2nm chip |
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 17 generation will continue to use a processor manufactured on a 3nm process. However, the processor chip on the iPhone 18 Pro model will be manufactured on TSMC's 2nm process.
Most likely, the 2nm chip will only be equipped by Apple on the Pro product line, while the standard versions will still use the 3nm chip. The main reason comes from production costs as well as technological limitations. This is also the first leaked information about the iPhone 18 generation.
The standard iPhone 16 that was just released uses the A18 chip, while the iPhone 16 Pro models use the A18 Pro chip. Both processors are manufactured on the 3nm process and there is not much difference in performance.
On September 13, Apple began taking pre-orders for the iPhone 16 series in a number of countries. The first iPhone 16s will be delivered to users worldwide on September 20.
In the Vietnamese market, users can also start pre-ordering the iPhone 16 generation from September 20 and receive the goods from September 27.
According to information from Apple's online store in Vietnam, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus duo have listed prices starting from 23 million VND and 26 million VND respectively for the 128GB internal memory version.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro starts at VND 29 million for the 128GB version and the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at VND 35 million for the 256GB version.
