Quickly recovering from the storm, Binh Lieu's accommodation system and key tourist attractions are ready to welcome guests for the peak autumn-winter season this year.
Cao Son Flower Garden is one of the tourist attractions that suffered the most damage due to Typhoon Yagi in Binh Lieu: the greenhouse had its roof blown off, and some trees were blown down by the wind. Immediately after the storm, the gardener carried out repairs and renovations. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Director of Binh Lieu Flower Cooperative, the developer of Cao Son Flower Garden, said: “Taking advantage of the time right after the storm, we repaired the damaged parts affected by the storm, such as re-roofing, reinforcing the wooden bridge, cleaning and replacing some fallen trees. Along with that, we also proactively prepared clean vegetables and free-range chickens, and invested in an ethnic costume experience corner to meet the increased demand of tourists during this year's autumn-winter tourist season.”

According to the Department of Culture and Information of Binh Lieu district, the accommodation system with 3 hotels, 24 motels, 13 homestays with a capacity of serving about 1,200 guests in Binh Lieu suffered minor damage, basically not affected by storm Yagi, so tourist services were not interrupted. Currently, these facilities are renovating the premises, looking to hire more workers and investing in additional activities to better meet the needs of tourists for sightseeing and experience.
In late September, when Typhoon Yagi had passed for more than 2 weeks, in Luc Hon commune - the main space where the annual Golden Harvest Festival events will take place, the traces left by Typhoon Yagi gradually disappeared. Along the national highway passing through the commune, the trees were still green, peaceful houses could be seen behind the lush rice fields that were about to bloom.

Only by going up to Cao Thang, Khe O, and Ngan Pat villages can one see the traces of storm Yagi and the torrential rains caused by the storm's circulation. On the road leading to the Cultural House of Ngan Pat village - a check-in point for rice fields, a landslide appeared, and a few electric poles were tilted. Previously, to prevent the risk of landslides and ensure the safety of the people, Luc Hon commune had evacuated 70 households. Now that the situation has stabilized and safety has been ensured, most people have returned to their homes. Daily activities have returned to normal. Luc Hon commune is also urgently carrying out environmental sanitation work, arranging village roads and alleys, and preparing conditions to welcome guests.
Mr. Hoang Van Trung, Chairman of Luc Hon Commune People's Committee, said: "The damage caused by storm Yagi to the traffic infrastructure and construction works of Luc Hon is not large. The main spaces where the festival takes place will be renovated and new signs and billboards will be installed. The 2024 Golden Season Festival will still take place as usual, scheduled for the end of October with many attractive activities."
It is known that the 2024 Golden Season Festival of Binh Lieu is expected to have attractive and interesting activities such as the Provincial Women's Football Tournament or the New Rice Festival Offering Competition... The activities are organized in the direction of maintaining traditional activities and increasing the scale of the organization to create an impression for tourists, continuing to build the Golden Season Festival into a tourism brand, a key stimulus activity of Binh Lieu at the end of the year.
