DNVN - Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) announced the removal of the transaction of selling more than 2.6 million VIB shares on October 31, 2024 by Ms. Le Thi Hue - a person related to Mr. Dang Khac Vy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VIB).
In the trading session on October 31, Ms. Le Thi Hue - a person related to Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VIB) Dang Khac Vy - sold more than 2.61 million VIB shares.
However, based on the monitoring results of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) and the opinion of the State Securities Commission in Official Dispatch No. 7442/UBCK-TT dated November 1, 2024 on handling of investor transactions, HoSE announced the removal of the sale transaction of 2,610,349 VIB shares on October 31, 2024 by Ms. Le Thi Hue - a person related to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VIB) Dang Khac Vy - due to failure to disclose information and failure to report before the transaction.
On November 1, VIB published a report by Ms. Le Thi Hue on the registration to sell 2.61 million VIB shares - equivalent to 0.1% of the bank's charter capital. Ms. Hue's reason for selling is due to personal financial needs. The expected time is from November 6 to December 5. If the sale is successful, Ms. Hue will no longer hold capital at VIB.

Previously, on October 16, Mr. An Thanh Son - Deputy General Director of VIB sold 2 million shares, with a transaction value of VND 20 billion. Accordingly, the number of shares Mr. Son holds after the transaction is 4,690,553 shares, with a ratio of 0.157%.

Regarding VIB's business situation, individual profit after tax in the third quarter of 2024 reached VND 1,581.9 billion, down 26% compared to the same period last year. Accumulated from the beginning of the year to the end of the third quarter of this year, individual profit after tax stopped at VND 5,251.2 billion, down sharply compared to VND 6,614 billion recorded in the same period in 2023, down 21%.
Consolidated profit after tax in the third quarter of 2024 reached VND 1,599.1 billion, down 26% over the same period in 2023. Accumulated from the beginning of the year to the end of the third quarter of this year, consolidated profit after tax reached VND 5,283.2 billion, down 21%.
According to VIB's explanation, VIB's separate and consolidated profit after tax in the third quarter of 2024 fluctuated compared to the same period in 2023 mainly due to the separate and consolidated net interest income in the third quarter of 2024 of VND 4,054.8 billion and VND 4,059.7 billion, respectively, down 13% compared to the same period in 2023. Net profit from service activities in the third quarter of 2024 of VND 358.1 billion and VND 409.1 billion, respectively, down 45% and 42% compared to the same period in 2023.
VIB believes that due to the above reasons and the continued increase in credit risk provisions, VIB's separate and consolidated after-tax profits in the third quarter of 2024 reached VND 1,581.9 billion and VND 1,599.1 billion, respectively, down 26% year-on-year.
