"Homeland Flavor": Spring Gift from People Living Abroad

With that feeling, in the last days of 2023, from Ho Chi Minh City, teacher and businessman Nguyen Duc Quoc - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nam Viet International Education Group, along with a number of fellow countrymen, brought back to his hometown Quang Nam an art program with the theme "Homeland Flavor", as a meaningful spring gift.

Missing home so much...

As a son of Binh Quy, Thang Binh district, teacher and businessman Nguyen Duc Quoc began his career and advancement through the difficult days of his life in Saigon. He struggled with many jobs to earn a living, to study and gradually assert himself. Those years gave him a lot of experience as well as an understanding of the hardships of poor students from the countryside who went to the city to study.

This has gradually planted in Nguyen Duc Quoc a desire to build a systematic educational environment, first of all to be a place for his “fellow countrymen” from Quang Nam to teach after completing their pedagogical education program in Ho Chi Minh City. Then, to contribute to training a future generation for the homeland and country, solid in knowledge and perfect in personality in a systematic educational environment. And that wish has now come true when the educational system chaired by teacher and businessman Nguyen Duc Quoc has 10 schools with more than 5,000 students at all levels.

Successful in building an educational corporation in Ho Chi Minh City, for many years now, teacher and businessman Nguyen Duc Quoc has started to turn to his hometown Quang Nam with many meaningful charitable activities. Particularly for Tieu La High School (Thang Binh District), where he had his beautiful student years, Nguyen Duc Quoc has given many scholarships to poor students, along with many programs and activities that contribute to beautifying this school with a long tradition...

Holding in his heart so many feelings, memories of the past, gave him many emotions to write poems, then music, contributing a little color and fragrance, beautifying life... Dozens of poems containing love for his homeland were born, dozens of songs were composed as valuable spiritual support to be more steadfast in his professional activities.

Taste of home

Many spring songs, songs praising the homeland and the country will be gathered and spread in the music program with the theme "Homeland Flavor" organized by Nam Viet International Education Group together with a number of business units in Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Nam, in coordination with Quang Nam Radio and Television Station at the studio with an audience and broadcast live on Quang Nam Radio and Television Station as a meaningful gift to welcome the new year 2024. The program will start at 7:30 p.m. tonight (December 28).

“Homeland Flavor” with the appearance of singers currently active in music in Ho Chi Minh City such as Quoc Dai, Duong Hong Loan, Lam Bao Phi… along with many songs associated with the names of singers who are loved by the music-loving public. Quang Nam viewers will meet a Quoc Dai full of nostalgia for his homeland with “Remembering Spring in the Homeland” (poem by Nguyen Duc Quoc) and endless memories in a composition by musician Tran Quang Nam titled “Ten Years of Old Love”…

Singer Duong Hong Loan - a native of Dong Thap, with her clear and sweet voice has conquered audiences not only in the country but also overseas. Duong Hong Loan will appear in "Home Flavor" with songs that have followed her throughout her musical career. These are "Love the Salty" by musician Tran Que Son, "Because the Heart Still Loves" by musician Phi Bang, "Central Afternoon Rain" by Hong Xuong Long, or "Spring Reunion"...

Along with Duong Hong Loan and Quoc Dai, the program featured singer Lam Bao Phi - a young man from Thanh Hoa. After graduating from the Polytechnic University and then the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, Lam Bao Phi embarked on a singing career and achieved success with many genres of music. The appearance of Lam Bao Phi with his unique voice and many nostalgic Bolero songs such as "Tinh em xu Quang", "Noi lai tinh xua", "Anh cho em mua xuan"... was like a stirring love song in the last days of the year...
