Huong Hoa: Proposal to add 3 communes Huc, Xy, Thuan to the economic zone

Today, August 21, Economic - Defense Group 337 (Military Region 4) worked with the People's Committee of Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province to review and adjust the economic - defense zone planning for the period 2026 - 2035, with a vision to 2045.

According to the planning, the Economic - Defense Zone, Quang Tri Province/Military Region 4, phase 2022 - 2025, in Huong Hoa district, includes 10 communes: Huong Lap, Huong Viet, Huong Son, Huong Linh, Huong Phung, Ba Tang, Thanh, A Doi, Lia, Huong Loc, with a total investment of more than 80.3 billion VND. Economic - Defense Group 337 has completed a number of projects such as: 4 traffic works; 6 irrigation works; 1 suspension bridge project in Se Pu resettlement area, Huong Lap commune; 15 domestic water works; construction of 3 kindergartens and primary schools in Se Pu resettlement area, Huong Lap commune and Ta Puong resettlement area, Huong Viet commune; support for land reclamation, field improvement and residential stabilization of 81 households.

Through investment projects to build economic-defense zones, infrastructure has been strengthened, scientific and technical advances transferred to agricultural production, local economy has been promoted, income has been increased, and material and spiritual life of the people in 10 communes in the project area has been improved.

To adjust the economic - defense zone planning for the period 2026 - 2035, with a vision to 2045 in Huong Hoa district to suit the actual situation of the locality, the People's Committee of Huong Hoa district proposed that Economic - Defense Group 337 add 3 communes of Huc, Xy, Thuan to the project, at the same time transfer, replace and supplement a number of construction items, prioritize the construction of construction items in communes where the district is focusing on directing communes to meet new rural standards...

The leaders of Economic - Defense Group 337 acknowledged the opinions and recommendations of Huong Hoa district, and will survey and carefully consider the actual needs of local people to invest in implementation in the coming time, ensuring economic efficiency, political stability, and strengthening border defense and security in communes in the project area.
