The IEAE Hanoi Electronics Exhibition is a large-scale specialized exhibition in Vietnam, focusing on the field of electronics and household appliances. With an exhibition area of up to 10,000 m2 , the Exhibition displays tens of thousands of electrical and electronic products with the latest and most popular technology. This is definitely a "technology party" for the Vietnamese electronics market in particular and the Southeast Asian market in general.
The exhibition encourages the increase in consumption of high-quality electronic and entertainment products and will focus on displaying products in four main sectors: Electronics - Household appliances; Smart devices; Computers, phones, accessories and gaming devices; Electronic components and other products.
Speaking at the opening of the Exhibition, Mr. To Ngoc Son, Deputy Director of the Asia-Africa Market Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said that after the historic official visit to China by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in October 2022, the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership continues to be consolidated, enhanced and supplemented with new strategic directions in the future. China has been Vietnam's largest trading partner for 20 consecutive years, Vietnam is also China's largest trading partner in ASEAN, and China's 6th largest trading partner in 2022.
However, in the context of the global and regional economy facing many difficulties and challenges as it is today, the world's foreign trade activities, including Vietnam and China, especially trade activities of electronic goods and smart devices, are also significantly affected.
In the first 9 months of 2023, Vietnam's import and export turnover of phones, computers, electronic products, household appliances and components from the world reached more than 150 billion USD, down 10.7% compared to 2022. Vietnam's import and export turnover of these items with China reached about 43 billion USD, down 5.4%. Of which, import turnover from China decreased by 13.6%, at 22.1 billion USD.

"This year's Vietnam International Exhibition of Electronics and Smart Devices is very important, contributing to expanding and strengthening the connection of supply sources of electronic products and smart devices, promoting the development of the high-quality consumer electronics market in Vietnam. I believe that through trade promotion activities such as this Exhibition, more cooperation opportunities will be opened up for the business community, contributing to overcoming the negative impacts of the global and regional economy, while helping the trade relationship between Vietnam and China to continuously develop in depth, stably and sustainably", Mr. To Ngoc Son affirmed.
According to the representative of Chaoyu Expo, the co-organizer of the Exhibition, China and Vietnam are important trade partners of each other, the industrial chain and supply chain of the two countries are closely linked, and bilateral trade is forecasted to maintain a relatively fast growth rate. Therefore, Chaoyu Expo always has great confidence and expectations in the consumer market and consumption potential of Vietnam, believing and hoping that Chinese electronic devices after arriving in Vietnam will bring a little new vitality to the Vietnamese market.
Within the framework of the Exhibition, many forums and seminars will be held with the participation of many leaders of associations, experts in the industry, representatives of businesses and agencies in various fields. The main content of the forums and seminars will revolve around the topic of the current development situation of the electronics, home appliances and smart devices industry as well as promoting innovation and development of the industry.
