On November 14, in Hanoi, the Organizing Committee of the 2024 China-Vietnam Border Economic, Trade and Tourism Fair said that the fair will take place from November 26 to December 1.
The fair is organized by the People's Committee of Lao Cai province (Vietnam) and the government of Yunnan province (China) alternately in Hekou (Yunnan) and Lao Cai (Vietnam).
To date, the two sides have coordinated to organize 24 fairs. In 2024, the fair will take place in Hekou County (Yunnan).
The fair has the theme “Sharing Development – Cooperation for Mutual Benefit”, aiming to strengthen economic cooperation and cultural exchange between border localities, creating opportunities for businesses to introduce products, seek partners and expand markets.
According to Mr. Hoa Dao, Director of the Hong Ha District Trade Department (Yunnan Province), the fair is divided into two areas: the Chinese pavilion and the Vietnamese pavilion. Of which, the Chinese pavilion has an area of 5,500 m2; the Vietnamese pavilion has an area of 3,800 m2; it is expected to arrange 500-600 standard booths.
In addition to exhibition and sales activities, the fair also includes many other activities, such as: Meeting with delegations of Lao Cai and Yunnan provinces; economic and trade development talks; conference on cross-border economic, trade and logistics cooperation; conference on attracting joint investment between China and Vietnam, etc.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Lao Cai province, said that Vietnam is expected to have a national pavilion, a pavilion of Lao Cai province, pavilions of units receiving trade promotion support, and pavilions of enterprises.
Participating businesses will be supported with customs procedures and 100% of fees, charges, and booth rental fees... The Organizing Committee prioritizes businesses with export products and potential to export to the Chinese market, businesses with products that achieve national brands...
