Located at 72 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, the location is considered the center of the old town, convenient for tourists to stop, Hoi An City OCOP Center is managed by Que Vuon Clean Agriculture Cooperative.
This is a place to display, introduce, promote, connect and consume OCOP products, while promoting and advertising tourism of Hoi An City in particular and Quang Nam in general.
Ms. Ho Thi Bong - representative of Que Vuon Clean Agriculture Cooperative expressed that, through Hoi An City OCOP Center, she hopes that the connection between Que Vuon Cooperative and OCOP product owners will help bring many products of Hoi An, Quang Nam to consumers, especially tourists.
Traveling to Hoi An, after visiting the OCOP Center, a German tourist shared: “We have chosen to buy some of our favorite items. There are many impressive products here.”
Hoi An City leaders said that the opening and operation of the OCOP Center aims to concretize the directives and resolutions of the Government, Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Quang Nam province on solutions to restore and develop the socio-economy, and support the promotion of domestic consumption of goods.
At the same time, it contributes to promoting production in rural areas, promoting and consuming OCOP products, typical rural industrial products... of Quang Nam province; developing centers, points of introduction and sale of OCOP products associated with business points and tourist spots in Hoi An city.
In the coming time, related documents and procedures will continue to be completed to support Hoi An City OCOP Center according to the provisions of the Provincial People's Council Resolution on mechanisms and policies to support the One Commune One Product Program (OCOP) in Quang Nam province for the period 2021-2025.
According to Mr. Nguyen The Hung - Vice Chairman of Hoi An City People's Committee, the connection between producers and consumers of OCOP products will help promote strengths, reduce distribution costs, and increase product competitiveness.
In the coming time, Que Vuon Cooperative needs to effectively implement the activities of Hoi An City OCOP Center according to the approved plan. At the same time, proactively grasp the needs of consumers, especially tourists, to link with OCOP agents in improving product quality.
“We hope that the Hoi An City OCOP Center will become a place where locals and tourists come to visit and shop for products,” said Mr. Nguyen The Hung.
