DNVN - The combination of artificial intelligence (AI) applications and teacher accompaniment in teaching English is considered a new direction, bringing practical benefits, helping students approach English comprehensively and flexibly.
According to experts, artificial intelligence (AI) technology is integrated into English learning programs to help personalize the learning path for each student.
Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Canh - former lecturer at the University of Foreign Languages (Hanoi National University) said that instead of following a common model for all, AI relies on data to analyze the strengths, weaknesses and learning ability of each student. Thanks to that, lessons and exercises are adjusted to suit the needs and learning speed of each person, helping to improve learning efficiency.
Furthermore, AI provides modern learning tools, from practicing correct pronunciation to enhancing listening and speaking skills. AI-integrated English learning applications can check each vocabulary and sentence, helping learners detect and correct mistakes immediately. This not only creates a proactive learning environment but also helps learners become more confident in communication.
Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Canh - former lecturer at the University of Foreign Languages (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) shared at a seminar on AI application in English teaching.
Although AI has many advantages, experts say that the human element is still irreplaceable in education.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Nam - Chairman of SunUni Global Group and CEO of SunUni Academy, although AI is smart and quick, AI still cannot replace the role of humans. In the face of the rapid development of AI, what people need to do is to enhance their own value and use AI to serve their work.
Teachers are not just instructors, they also act as guides and motivators. The company of teachers helps students maintain their motivation to learn, especially when they encounter difficulties. Teachers can listen, understand and help students overcome barriers in the learning process, from improving writing and speaking skills to thinking more clearly in English.
"The combination of technology and accompanying teachers creates a complete learning model, where students benefit from the support of AI and are guided by experienced and knowledgeable teachers. This is a new direction, bringing practical benefits, helping students approach English comprehensively and flexibly," Mr. Nam emphasized.
This model not only focuses on student learning but also helps connect family members. Parents no longer feel "abandoned" when leaving all of their children's learning to technology. Instead, they can accompany their children in the learning process, monitor their progress and share the joy when their children achieve new steps.
