Nhu Lam Vinh Khon, a student of class 9A10 at Hong Bang Secondary School (HCMC), admitted that although he was "quite stressed and pressured" because the results of the 10th grade entrance exam would determine his future for the next 3 years, during the Tet holiday, what he wanted to do most was enjoy the family reunion atmosphere.
Despite the pressure of exams after Tet, final year students still want to spend all their time resting during Tet holidays.
"After the final exam of the first semester, I decided that this was a time to rest and relax to "recharge" my energy, so I did not arrange any study schedule. After Tet, I have mentally prepared myself to solve more problems, especially math, to improve my test-taking skills. In addition, on the occasion of Tet, I will also discuss more with my family and relatives to "finalize" my wishes for the most suitable school," the male student shared.
Nguyen Tong Nam Anh, class 9A3, Tran Van Dang Secondary School (HCMC), is confident that he has mastered the knowledge and is capable of graduating with the title of excellent student. Despite his confidence, Nam Anh still has a detailed study plan both before and after Tet, but not too densely. Currently, he spends about 2 hours a day studying, the rest is exercising and playing sports with friends. "From New Year's Eve to the 3rd day of Tet is when I can completely let loose. After that, I start to "wind up" for the entrance exam with a schedule of 5 hours of study every day during the week, and rest on the weekends," Nam Anh said.
According to personal observation, Nam Anh said that many 9th grade students no longer "study day and night during Tet" like before. One of the reasons is the development of social networks, which helps students easily grasp knowledge and learn how to do exercises anytime, anywhere.
Huynh Pham Nghi Van said that he still spends most of his Tet holidays with family and friends, then starts to carry out his study plan as planned.
Also spending the entire Tet holiday to have fun before entering the exam season, Bui Long Duc, class 12A10, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School (HCMC), said he will travel to Thailand with his family in the coming days. After that, he will focus on studying for the competency assessment exam as well as the high school graduation exam to win a place in some universities with strengths in engineering.
Meanwhile, Huynh Pham Nghi Van, a student in class 12A12 at the same school, said he had received an admission letter from La Trobe University (Australia) and was currently studying for the IELTS certificate with a target score of 6.5 to submit to the school. "In general, I still spend most of the Tet holidays with my family and friends, then I start implementing my study plan as planned," Nghi Van said.
