Recently, the official fanpage of Miss Friendship International 2023 posted photos and announced that Miss Nong Thuy Hang is the representative of Vietnam in this beauty pageant.

Responding to Giao Thong Newspaper, Nong Thuy Hang confirmed the above information and said that she was contacted by the national director of Miss Friendship International Vietnam and given the opportunity to compete.

“For over a year, I have been constantly working on improving my catwalk and communication skills to be ready for export.”

Responding to questions about being the reigning Miss Vietnam Ethnic Groups but choosing to “fight” in a beauty pageant outside of Big6 (the 6 largest beauty pageants in the world), Nong Thuy Hang expressed: “For me, there is no big or small beauty pageant. All beauty pageants have the same mission of honoring women’s beauty and conveying humane and meaningful messages to the community.”

Nong Thuy Hang was born in 1999, a Tay ethnic, from Ha Giang. She is 1.68m tall, with body measurements of 82-65-91cm. During high school, she was an excellent student for 12 consecutive years, won 3rd prize in the National Excellent Student Literature Contest, and was admitted directly to the National Economics University.

She was crowned Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2022 in July 2022. However, after the contest, she was not selected to compete internationally.

The Miss Earth 2022 contest slot belongs to the first runner-up of Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2022 Thach Thu Thao.
