Coach Troussier calls up additional HAGL striker to Vietnam National Team

Striker Dinh Thanh Binh was called up to the Vietnam national team for this June training session. Thanh Binh became the 34th player on the list called up by coach Troussier. Previously, on the list of 33 players, HAGL had two other players called up to the team, Tuan Anh and Chau Ngoc Quang.

Dinh Thanh Binh was born in 1998 and grew up in the HAGL training center. He was in the group that participated in the U20 World Cup in 2017 with Quang Hai, Van Hau, Hoang Duc,... Dinh Thanh Binh was also called up by coach Park Hang Seo to join the Vietnam national team to prepare for the 2019 Asian Cup but was not on the final list. Thanh Binh then joined the U23 team to participate in the 2020 U23 Asian qualifiers but did not get to play.

Since then, Thanh Binh's career has not progressed much. It was not until this season that Thanh Binh made his mark in HAGL's shirt after 3 years on loan at Cong An Nhan Dan. Thanh Binh scored 1 goal but contributed greatly to Coach Kiatisuk's playing style. Thanh Binh's strengths are his stamina and activeness.

Thanh Binh will join the Vietnam national team from June 7. This is an important training session for the Vietnam national team. Coach Troussier prioritizes experienced players with good form. Many new players can be named such as Goalkeeper Nguyen Dinh Trieu (Hai Phong Club), Tran Minh Toan (Binh Duong Club), Bui Van Duc (Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club), Trieu Viet Hung (Hai Phong Club), Le Pham Thanh Long, Lam Ti Phong (Dong A Thanh Hoa Club), Nham Manh Dung (Viettel Club).

The Vietnamese team will also play friendly matches this June, including a match against the Syrian team that will be held at Thien Truong Stadium, Nam Dinh on June 20. Before that, a notable match between the Vietnamese team and the Hong Kong team (China) will take place at Lach Tray Stadium, Hai Phong on June 15.
