Man Utd were "defeated" by West Ham with a score of 2-0 in round 18 of the Premier League and this was the fourth consecutive match in which the "Red Devils" attack could not score a single goal.

Coach Ten Hag shared after the 0-2 loss at the Olympic Stadium of West Ham, which took place on the evening of December 23 (Vietnam time): "We have players who know how to score goals, they have proven in the past that they can do it."
There were no goals in the first half. In the second half, the home team West Ham scored two goals in just 6 minutes (from minute 72 to 78) with goals from Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus.
The defeat to West Ham caused Man Utd to set many bad milestones, when they lost half of 26 matches in all competitions this season.
The "Red Devils" have gone 4 consecutive matches with 380 minutes without scoring a goal against their opponents, something that has never happened since November 1992 under coach Sir Alex Ferguson.
In particular, Man Utd's attack has been criticized for being too weak, having only scored 4 goals after 18 rounds in the Premier League.
Coach Ten Hag expressed his concern about Man Utd's strikers' lack of confidence and sharpness in scoring situations: "We have to admit the truth, we did not play well. We have to take responsibility because football is about winning and scoring goals.
We have problems, we have a lot of setbacks, injuries. But the players on the pitch are good enough to win the game. So the problem is when you are in the box, you have to be ready for everything and score goals.
I know Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund can score goals and Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Bruno Fernandes can score goals, Scott McTominay too. We have a lot of players who can score goals, especially from set pieces.
So at the moment we are not scoring but they have to stick together and believe they can do it. They have to be better in the box, they have to show their role as strikers."
According to Opta statistics, this is the third time Man Utd have failed to score in three consecutive away matches in the Premier League after April 2005 and August 2022.
Ten Hag's side have failed to score in seven of their 18 games, no team has a worse record in the Premier League this season.
Man Utd have now lost 13 of their 26 games in all competitions this season. The Red Devils have failed to win three consecutive Premier League away games under Ten Hag for the second time (D1 L2), having previously done so in May last season.
In the next match, Man Utd will host Aston Villa at Old Trafford on December 27 and is expected to have a very difficult match as coach Unai Emery's team is in very good form this season with third place in the Premier League table.
