On the afternoon of February 2, the People's Council of Ha Tinh province held the 18th session (special session) to consider a number of contents under its authority. Comrade Hoang Trung Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council Tran Tu Anh and Tran Van Ky chaired the meeting. Speaking at the opening of the session, Provincial Party Secretary - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Hoang Trung Dung informed the contents that will take place at the session.

On that basis, the meeting chairman requested delegates to study and contribute quality comments to the draft reports and draft resolutions. Requested the Provincial People's Committee and heads of departments and branches, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to report and clarify further issues of concern to the delegates for consideration and resolution by the Provincial People's Council.
Director of the Department of Planning and Investment Tran Viet Ha presented the report of the Provincial People's Committee on the Decision on investment policy for projects using the central budget reserve to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and landslides.
Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Le Ngoc Huan presented the report of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the list of works and projects requiring land recovery and conversion of rice-growing land use purposes from 2024.
Next, the directors of the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, Planning and Investment, and Natural Resources and Environment presented three reports of the Provincial People's Committee on resolutions submitted to the session; and listened to the verification report of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council.
After discussion, the delegates passed 3 resolutions on: Decision on policy to convert forest use to other purposes; Decision on investment policy for projects using the central budget reserve to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and landslides; approval of the list of works and projects requiring land recovery and conversion of rice-growing land use from 2024.

In his closing speech, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Hoang Trung Dung requested the Provincial People's Committee to focus on implementing the resolutions issued by the Provincial People's Council. The Provincial People's Council committees urge and supervise the resolutions to be effectively implemented, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

Regarding the Resolution on the policy of changing the purpose of forest use to other purposes, the Provincial People's Committee is requested to focus on directing and assigning specific responsibilities to relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities to promptly take steps to soon implement the projects. Focus on promoting propaganda and site clearance to serve the 500kV transmission line project according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, the Provincial Party Secretary - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested all levels, sectors and localities to focus on directing spring crop production. Continue to implement the program of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas. Speed up the disbursement of public investment capital. Strengthen market management, prevent and combat smuggling and trade fraud; ensure the supply of goods to serve the people during Tet.
Continue to care for the material and spiritual lives of policy families and people in difficult circumstances. Implement solutions to ensure security and order so that people can celebrate the Lunar New Year in a warm, joyful and safe manner.
