Some related developments

Most EU countries support expanding the conflict in Ukraine . Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that at a meeting in Brussels, the majority of European Union (EU) foreign ministers supported expanding special military operations in Ukraine, which could lead to direct conflict with Russia.

According to Mr. Szijjarto, the ministers with pride and inspiration discussed the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine and Kiev using weapons supplied by Western countries to strike targets on Russian territory.

The Hungarian Foreign Minister clarified that they also spoke positively about the proposal to destroy Russian missiles on the territory of Ukraine with the help of NATO countries. “Even the threat of world war will not stop them,” Mr. Szijjarto said.

It is clear that such crazy ideas in wartime can have tragic, extremely dangerous consequences even in peacetime, and in wartime they can easily become reality ,” Foreign Minister Szijjarto stressed.

Russia reaffirms conditions for negotiations . Russian Ambassador to Switzerland Sergey Garmonin said that the peace process for the conflict in Ukraine will “need to take into account Moscow’s security interests, as well as the new realities.”

First, Kiev must lift the ban on negotiations with the Russian leadership. This is a prerequisite for starting any negotiations on ending the conflict. The Russian leadership has repeatedly said this. Secondly, the negotiations must take into account Russia’s security interests. Russia will not participate in events promoting Zelensky’s so-called ‘peace formula’ or similar plans that could be seen as an ultimatum to Moscow ,” Garmonin said.

Third, the peace process needs to be based on the current situation on the ground, according to the Russian Ambassador to Switzerland. Any attempt by the West to prolong the conflict will only cause Kiev to lose its initial negotiating position, as it continues to lose its advantage on the front line.

NATO is in direct confrontation with Russia . Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov recently responded to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's recent call to allow Ukraine to use Western weapons to strike deep into Russian territory.

"NATO is increasing the level of escalation. They are going too far in their military rhetoric," Mr Peskov said.

NATO is not coming close, they are there ,” Mr Peskov replied when asked whether NATO was moving closer to a direct confrontation with Russia. “ Our military also knows what to do and will continue special military operations .”

Spain announces new aid package for Ukraine . Spain pledges $1.08 billion in military aid to Ukraine.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said the agreement covers a wide range of issues, from military, humanitarian and financial assistance to defense industry cooperation, support for reconstruction, mine clearance and more.

" The aid package will help Kiev strengthen its capabilities, including those of the defense systems needed to protect civilians, cities and infrastructure, which are suffering indiscriminate attacks like last weekend in Kharkiv ," the Spanish Prime Minister stressed.

Ukraine gives the green light to French military instructors . Ukrainian Army Commander Oleksandr Syrsky announced that he has signed documents allowing French military instructors to soon arrive at a soldier training center in the country.

" I welcome the French initiative to send instructors to Ukraine to train our soldiers ," Syrsky said after video talks with French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu.

According to Mr. Syrsky, he has signed a document allowing "the first French instructors to visit the Ukrainian training center soon and get acquainted with the infrastructure and staff there." The Ukrainian commander did not give further details, but stressed France's determination to encourage other partners to join this ambitious project.
