Hau Giang organizes Ao Ba Ba Festival for the first time

(HGO) - On the morning of June 25, Ms. Ho Thu Anh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting with relevant departments, agencies, and units to discuss the plan to organize the Ao Ba Ba Festival in 2023. Also attending were designer Minh Hanh, Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Information Technology Association, and Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Hue, Chairman of the Saigon Times Foundation.

Designer Minh Hanh, representative of the consulting unit, shared that about the idea of carrying out this event in Hau Giang, the group surveyed the infrastructure, came up with ideas, and wanted to bring a unique and distinct event. truly meaningful, a separate brand of Hau Giang. The event is a story to talk about the land and people of Hau Giang, through the Ao Ba Ba, a symbol of Southern women's clothing.

The program is expected to have 3 contents: Exhibition of paintings about Ao Ba Ba from the past to the present, cuisine with exhibition booths and design of welcome gates. The stage is designed in the Lotus Lake area, both for exhibition and performance and to create a place to play folk games regularly, for people to participate; the photo exhibition will be held at Xa No embankment, the section with the statue garden. After agreeing on the idea, the Provincial People's Committee needs to provide a specific contact point to contact during the process of completing the idea. The consulting unit will choose the implementation unit with enough capacity to ensure the idea is expressed most fully. The event is proposed to be held for 3 days from September 29 to October 1.

Ms. Ho Thu Anh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: "If organized, this will be a special, new, strange, but close and meaningful cultural event, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the province's establishment. The design idea is very good, with exhibition and display spaces and organizing accompanying entertainment activities. We agree with the idea, content, and organization time proposed by the consulting unit. Many comments were made at the meeting, the consulting unit needs to take note, to complete the idea in the most complete and impressive way, revealing the identity of Hau Giang; quickly complete the organization plan next week, submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval, to quickly implement, on schedule, ensuring the plan is implemented promptly, on schedule...".
