At the ceremony, Ms. Vu Thu Ha - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Chairman of the Board of Sponsors of the Hanoi Children's Fund, said that in response to the Month of Action for Children 2024, the City People's Committee issued Plan No. 100/KH-UBND dated April 1, 2024 with 9 groups of contents and 17 specific tasks assigned to departments, branches, districts, towns and cities to implement, ensuring that 100% of children in special circumstances are cared for, supported and given gifts in full and timely manner on the occasion of International Children's Day, June 1.

Districts, towns and cities develop plans and effectively implement activities of the Month of Action for Children in 2024 in accordance with the conditions and actual situation of each locality.
With the motto "For the benefit of ten years, plant trees, for the benefit of a hundred years, educate people" and giving the best to children, Hanoi city has many special policies.
2024 is the second year that Hanoi implements Resolution 25/NQ-HDND of the City People's Council on giving gifts to children in special circumstances on the occasion of International Children's Day June 1 and Mid-Autumn Festival with a budget of VND 500,000/child/time.
On this June 1st, Hanoi will have nearly 13 thousand children in special circumstances receive gifts worth over 6 billion VND from the city budget. In addition, all levels, sectors and localities also organize many programs and activities to care for children in the area.
At the ceremony, delegates awarded 200 scholarships, bicycles and 2 sets of playground equipment to disadvantaged children with the will to strive to improve themselves, with a total value of 840 million VND. The People's Committee of My Duc district also awarded 8 sets of playground equipment to 8 schools in the district, with a total value of 1.8 billion VND.
Announcing the theme of the Month of Action for Children 2024: "Practical actions, prioritizing resources for children", Vice President Vu Thu Ha called on each individual and organization to enthusiastically respond to the Month of Action for Children with specific, practical, and meaningful actions with the message: "Listen to children with your heart, protect children with action".
