Accordingly, on the morning of August 21, hundreds of parents in Nam Tu Liem district came to the gate of Tay Mo 3 Primary School with the desire to question the school about not accepting children with permanent residence in Tay Mo (houses next to the school).

Their children have to go to Ly Nam De Primary School (located in Mieu Nha) which is 4-5km away from home, which is very inconvenient for traveling.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Hanh (with an address in Vinhomes Smart City Tay Mo urban area) said: "Previously, I saw an announcement to separate parents of Tay Mo 1 School and Ly Nam De Primary School to move to Tay Mo 3, following the route of residential group 10.

My child studying at Ly Nam De Primary School has also submitted an application following the school's instructions regarding whether or not he wishes to separate Tay Mo 3 School. Of course, I registered my child to study at the new school because it is close to home."

However, according to Ms. Hanh, 1-2 days ago, she received a notice that Tay Mo 3 School only accepts 200 students and that the quota will be filled when students from Tay Mo 1 School are separated, so children studying at Ly Nam De School will still study at their old school.

"Not only my child but all students in grades 2, 3, 4, and 5 at Ly Nam De School were not transferred. This makes us very upset because the zoning is unreasonable. The school is right next to our house but we have to take our children to school several kilometers away," the female parent said indignantly.

Also in the same mood, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phu (Tay Mo) said: “My building is opposite the gate of Tay Mo 3 Primary School, but according to the announcement, my 3rd grade child still has to study at Ly Nam De School, but only accepts students from Tay Mo 1 Primary School, especially all 1st grade students are transferred. I request the school to clearly answer about the specific zoning. Why did they ask us to fill out an application to transfer our child's study wishes and then reply that there were no more quotas?”

On the morning of August 21, speaking with VietNamNet, a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Nam Tu Liem district said that they had received the information and that the unit was clarifying the matter and asking for direction from the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem district.

According to this representative, the spirit will be resolved according to the admission regulations, enrolling students in the right direction so that parents can feel secure.
