(CLO) Lim Festival is a traditional festival of three communes of the former Noi Due commune, now Lim town, Noi Due commune and Lien Bao commune, Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province.
On the morning of February 9 (January 12, At Ty year), the Lim festival - one of the most unique festivals of the Quan Ho countryside - officially opened.
Lim Festival is a big festival, imbued with the cultural identity of the Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac region and is also one of the biggest Quan Ho festivals in Bac Ninh province.
On the opening morning of the festival, despite the cold weather, thousands of visitors came to the festival to listen to Quan Ho. Many visitors excitedly recorded the moment when the male and female singers performed Quan Ho folk songs with "resounding, rumbling, background, and bouncy" melodies.

The Lim Festival begins with an incense offering ceremony at Hong An Pagoda and the mausoleum of General Nguyen Dinh Dien on Lim Hill.
Along with the ceremony, the festival takes place at the center of Lim hill and Van Tuong lake area, with many folk games such as: Quan Ho antiphonal singing, Quan Ho singing, swinging, traditional wrestling, blindfolded goat catching, pot smashing, dragon dance, lion dance...
At the Lim Spring Festival, there are more than 10 Quan Ho singing huts operating from early morning, attracting many tourists to stop and listen to and enjoy the passionate and lyrical Quan Ho melodies.
This year, the festival organizers also arranged an additional Quan Ho hut for the young “lien anh, lien chi” (literally “younger brothers and sisters”). The children, aged 4-15, are currently participating in clubs in the commune and are taught Quan Ho songs and manners by artisans.
On February 10 (January 13), there will be a procession of royal edicts from Dinh Ca communal house to Lo Bao communal house; traditional ceremonies and incense offerings will be held at communal houses, temples and pagodas in villages in Noi Due commune, Lien Bao commune and Lim town.
The central area will have Quan Ho singing camps, folk games, exhibition areas, introductions and sales of souvenirs such as: Books, pictures, calligraphy, Quan Ho music tapes and CDs, Quan Ho clothes, conical hats, Dong Ho folk paintings, bamboo, ceramics, ornamental creatures...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hao, Vice Chairman of Tien Du District People's Committee, Head of Lim Festival 2025 Organizing Committee, said that Tien Du District is currently submitting to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to recognize Lim Festival as a national festival. Thereby, introducing and promoting the image and people, homeland of Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac to domestic and foreign friends and tourists.
The organization of the festival also aims to arouse pride in the long-standing cultural traditions of Kinh Bac land, expressing respect and gratitude to historical and cultural celebrities and national heroes in the cause of building and defending the country.
