Accordingly, up to now, the whole province has developed 2,397 BTS stations (mobile transmission and reception stations); fiber optic transmission lines have reached 100% of communes, 90.2% of villages (1,119/1,240 villages), 121 villages do not have fiber optic infrastructure;

3G and 4G mobile information waves have covered all commune-level localities and 97% of villages (1,203/1,240 villages), while 37 villages do not have mobile information waves, 53 villages have limited 3G and 4G mobile information waves; 91.61% of village cultural houses have wifi (1,136/1,240).

Quang Nam has deployed connections to a dedicated data transmission network to communes in the province. Deployed upgrading of the provincial data center infrastructure, ensuring the capacity to deploy digital government and smart cities, and using cloud computing technology. Upgraded and expanded the WAN system connecting to the commune level.

Up to now, Quang Nam has 16/20 departments, branches and sectors; 18/18 districts, towns and cities; 241/241 communes, wards and towns that have installed conference transmission bridges.

The Party and Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province have deployed a video conferencing system from the provincial to the communal level, meeting the requirements of leadership, direction and operation of the work of the sectors.

During the year, sectors and localities deployed investment, upgraded information technology infrastructure, renovated internal network systems, purchased equipment for digital transformation from provincial funding sources supported by Resolution 36 of the Provincial People's Council supporting spending on digital transformation and the province's infrastructure upgrade project...

According to the report at the 10th meeting of the National Committee on Digital Transformation and Project 06 recently, since October 2024, Vietnam has officially commercialized 5G telecommunications services. Vietnam's internet speed in 2024 ranked 37th, up 7 places compared to 2023. On December 19, 2024, the largest international submarine optical cable line ever put into operation, doubling Vietnam's international internet transmission capacity.
