Ve Pagoda - a 300-year-old pagoda in Tho Xuong ward, Bac Giang city, Bac Giang province. This is a pagoda belonging to the Lam Te Northern sect. The pagoda has an "inner public, outer private" architecture with many cultural, architectural and sculptural values.
The system of Buddha statues in the pagoda is exquisitely crafted, after nearly 300 years still retains the splendid red lacquer and gold color. Many reviews say that, besides Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, in Bac Giang there is no other pagoda with Buddha statues as ancient and harmoniously beautiful as in Ve Pagoda.
Ve Pagoda was recognized as a national historical and cultural relic in 1994. The pagoda is believed to have been built around the 17th century during the Le Trung Hung period due to the remaining artifacts such as bronze bells and incense bowls.
However, in 2018, during the renovation, people discovered 3 lotus stone pedestals in the style of the Tran Dynasty (13th - 14th century) under the foundation of the Tam Bao pagoda. Therefore, the authorities determined that Ve Pagoda could have been built earlier.
