Many departments and branches remove signs prohibiting filming and photography

On May 28, news from Bac Lieu Provincial Police said that the unit had inspected, reviewed and agreed to advise the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to issue a document regulating protected areas, areas where crowds are prohibited, and areas where recording, filming and photography are prohibited at departments and branches.

Accordingly, Bac Lieu Provincial Police requested that any departments and branches not included in the list specified in Decision No. 21 of the Provincial People's Committee remove the prohibition signs as mentioned.

Previously, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province issued a document directing and assigning the Provincial Police to take charge of presiding over and coordinating with relevant agencies and units to urgently inspect and review all locations where signs prohibiting filming, recording, and photography have been posted at the headquarters of agencies and units that are not specified in the list in Decision No. 21, dated June 29, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee on 'Regulations on protected areas, areas prohibited from gathering crowds, recording, filming, and taking photos in Bac Lieu province'. At the same time, advise and propose the Provincial People's Committee to consider and decide as a basis for organizing implementation in the coming time.

Currently, Bac Lieu Provincial Police are urgently implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, reviewing the implementation of prohibition signs at agencies, departments and branches.

After reviewing, on May 28, a series of departments and branches proactively removed signs prohibiting filming, recording, and taking photos in front of their gates. Typically, the departments of Justice, Agriculture and Rural Development, Natural Resources and Environment, Education and Training, Transport, Industry and Trade, Health, Chau Van Dang Political School, etc.

On April 6, at a regular press conference organized by the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province, Mr. Pham Van Thieu, Chairman of the People's Committee of this province, requested the directors of departments and branches that have signs prohibiting filming and photography in front of their gates to remove them. Accordingly, only signs prohibiting filming, recording, and photography will be placed at important targets such as: the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, military agencies, and police.
