Candidates for admission to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology
Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) announced the 2023 benchmark scores for early admission by 2 methods of considering high school transcripts for 59 regular university training majors.
For both methods of high school transcript admission, including transcript admission based on the average score of 3 semesters (semester 1 grade 12 and semester 1, semester 2 grade 11) and transcript admission based on the average score of 3 subjects in grade 12, the standard score for the first application period (ending on April 30) ranges from 18 to 24, depending on the major.
Specifically, in both methods of considering high school transcripts, the standard score for pharmacy is 24 points, nursing and medical laboratory technology is 19.5 points. All other majors have a standard score of 18 points. This standard score includes priority points.
In particular, for the health science group, candidates need to ensure the threshold conditions to ensure input quality according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. For the pharmaceutical industry, candidates need to meet the additional condition of having excellent academic performance for the entire 12th grade or a high school graduation score of 8.0 points or higher; for the nursing and medical laboratory technology industries, candidates need to meet the additional condition of having good academic performance for the entire 12th grade or a high school graduation score of 6.5 points or higher.

Gia Dinh University has also just announced the admission score for the April 2023 high school transcript review method. With this method, the school considers the total average score of 3 semesters (average score of semester I, grade 11 + average score of semester II, grade 11 + average score of semester I, grade 12). Candidates need to achieve from 16.5 points for the general program and from 18 points for the talent program.
