In February, Cao Bang Customs Department collected more than 66.18 billion VND in budget revenue, an increase of 8.4% compared to the previous month.
Revenue in February tended to increase mainly from revenue from some import and export items such as: Automobiles of all kinds increased by 12%; nickel ore increased by 84%; Veneer (raw material for making the surface layer of wood products) increased by 52%...
However, in the month, there were also some traditional items with lower revenue compared to the previous month, such as: Fabrics of all kinds decreased by 21%; coke decreased by 64%; machinery and equipment decreased by 98%; groceries decreased by 73%; lead ingots decreased by 100%...
In the first two months of the year, the budget revenue of Cao Bang Customs Department reached over 127.23 billion VND, down 18% over the same period in 2023, reaching 21% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance (600 billion VND), reaching 20% of the target assigned by Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee (632 billion VND).
Regarding import-export activities, turnover has high growth compared to the same period in 2023, especially exports. However, the growth turnover in non-taxable items does not have much impact on the budget revenue results of Cao Bang Customs Department.
Specifically, in the first two months of the year, the total import-export turnover processed at Cao Bang Customs reached more than 95 million USD, an increase of 145% over the same period last year, of which exports reached 68 million USD, an increase of 346% and imports reached 27 million USD, an increase of 12%.
The main export items are seafood, vegetables, cashew nuts, coffee, pepper, etc.; while the import items are vegetables; ores and other minerals; coal of all kinds; machinery, equipment, tools, other spare parts; fabrics of all kinds, etc.
One of the reasons for the high increase in export turnover through Cao Bang Customs in the first two months of the year compared to the same period in 2023 is that at the same time last year, import and export activities through the area were still facing many difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic and control measures by China in the area bordering Cao Bang province.
