Facing the underdog U23 Kuwait, U23 Uzbekistan easily dominated the game. Despite creating a series of chances, the West Asian team only scored one goal in the first half thanks to Davronov in the 32nd minute.
However, in the second half, U23 Uzbekistan played explosively and scored 4 more goals thanks to Hamraliev, Erkinov, Holmatov and Norchaev. U23 Kuwait was sent off in the 71st minute when Hamad Al Taweel received a red card after a rough tackle on Norchaev.

Defeating U23 Kuwait 5-0, U23 Uzbekistan followed U23 Vietnam to win a ticket to the quarter-finals of the U23 Asian Cup, with the same 6 points. However, the West Asian representative topped the group thanks to a better goal difference than U23 Vietnam (7-0 compared to 5-1).
In the final round of Group D of the 2024 AFC U23 Championship at 10:30 p.m. on April 23, U23 Vietnam and U23 Uzbekistan will face each other in the match for the top spot in the group. Both U23 Malaysia and U23 Kuwait were eliminated without any points.
