Introducing Da Nang's startup potential

DNO - On the morning of June 9, representatives of embassies of several European and Asian countries in Vietnam visited the Da Nang High-Tech Park (Hoa Vang district) and the Vietnam Innovation Hub Da Nang (Son Tra district). This is an activity within the framework of the international conference "Developing the Da Nang innovation startup ecosystem and people-to-people diplomacy in connecting and mobilizing resources" organized by the City People's Committee in coordination with the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.

Delegates learned about investment opportunities in industrial parks, especially the Da Nang High-Tech Park. According to statistics from the Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks Management Board (Management Board), from 2020 to mid-May 2023, the Management Board has granted investment registration certificates to 71 projects; including 59 domestic projects with a total capital of VND 8,180.23 billion and 12 FDI projects with a total investment capital of USD 271.69 million.

Up to now, the Da Nang High-Tech Park, the Concentrated Information Technology Park and the Industrial Parks in the city have attracted 516 projects; including 391 domestic projects with a total registered investment capital of VND 31,614.8 billion and 125 foreign investment projects with a total investment capital of USD 1,889 million (accounting for 46.5% of the total FDI capital attracted to the city).

Delegates were introduced to investment opportunities at the High-Tech Park and industrial parks in Da Nang on the morning of June 9.

Delegates were also introduced to the high-tech business incubation program of the Danang High-Tech Park General Service Center. From 2019 to present, the program has 5 graduated projects and 2 projects under incubation.

Danang High-Tech Park General Service Center supports projects by connecting with domestic and foreign investors and investment funds, promoting support for promotion, communication, perfecting business legal procedures, and stabilizing business development products.

Ms. Le My Nga, Vice President of Vietnam Innovation Hub in Da Nang, informed that Vietnam Innovation Hub Da Nang is a pioneer in developing and connecting infrastructure networks serving innovation on a national scale, with a non-profit purpose, focusing on social impact values to create the best infrastructure platforms to serve innovation and startup incubation.
