Signboard installation and commissioning of Circuit 2 of 110kV An Don line, District 3 - Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang city (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025)

On the afternoon of February 14, EVNCPC held a ceremony to attach the nameplate of the 110kV An Don - District 3 Circuit 2 project to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025), the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Central Power Corporation (October 7, 1975 - October 7, 2025), and the 15th Party Congress of the Central Power Corporation, term 2025-2030.

Attending the ceremony to attach the signboard of the 110kV An Don Line 2 project in District 3 were Mr. Nguyen Van Tru - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade; Mr. Ngo Tan Cu - Member of the Board of Members, General Director of EVNCPC; Mr. Trinh Trung Phuong - Member of the Board of Members of EVNCPC; Mr. Le Huu Danh - Deputy General Director of EVNCPC and leaders of units under the Central Power Corporation. On the side of PC Da Nang, there were Mr. Le Hong Cuong - Chairman and Director of PC Da Nang, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuan - Deputy Director and representatives of departments and units under the Company.

The 110kV An Don 2nd Circuit Project, District 3 is one of the projects invested by EVNCPC to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025), the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Central Power Corporation (October 7, 1975 - October 7, 2025), the 15th Party Congress of the Central Power Corporation, term 2025-2030. The project includes 1 110kV feeder compartment in the existing 110kV An Don substation (An Don Industrial Park, Son Tra District, Da Nang City); 02 mixed 110kV underground and overhead cable circuits with a total length of 5.2km. Of which, the existing overhead line is renovated from 01 circuit to 2 circuits with a length of 1.4km; Construction of new 2-circuit underground cable line with length of 3.5km and 0.3km using existing cable route.

Leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade, EVNCPC and PC Da Nang performed the ceremony of attaching the construction signboard of Circuit 2 of the 110kV An Don line, District 3.

Son Tra District, Da Nang City is a place with many large and important loads serving industrial, service and especially tourism activities; this area is currently supplied with electricity by the 110kV An Don and Tien Sa Port substations through the 110kV line 174/Ngu Hanh Son 220kV (District 3) - 172/An Don. When there is a power outage on this line, the 110kV source to An Don and Tien Sa Port will be lost. Therefore, adding Circuit 2 to the 110kV An Don line, District 3 is necessary to meet the rapid growth of electricity loads in the area.

In addition, the putting into use of the 110kV An Don 2nd Circuit project in District 3 is of special importance, ensuring the capacity to transmit power to the 2 110kV An Don and Tien Sa Port transformer stations; improving the reliability of power supply and power quality; ensuring the N-1 criteria for the grid, minimizing power outage time in Son Tra district in particular and Da Nang city in general. At the same time, it contributes to preventing grid overload and contributing to accelerating the development of tourism, trade, industry, etc. in the region and gradually perfecting the structure of the Da Nang city grid according to the Power Development Plan, ensuring technical standards, operational safety, creating a premise for developing smart grids.

The project also has an important meaning in accompanying the city to promote investment attraction, focusing on unleashing all resources for the city to develop according to Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 dated June 26, 2024 of the National Assembly on the organization of urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang City, joining the atmosphere of celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City, the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Central Power Corporation.

Previously, on December 31, 2024, the Central Power Corporation held a ceremony to put the 110kV Thuan Phuoc substation into operation. This is an important project in ensuring power supply, meeting the load development needs of Da Phuoc Urban Area, Hai Chau and Thanh Khe districts; at the same time, playing the role of communication, reserve capacity for the 110kV grid; reducing power loss, improving the reliability of power supply for Da Nang city.
