On behalf of overseas Vietnamese in Udon Thani province, Mr. Luong Xuan Hoa, member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Udon Thani province, Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Thailand, affirmed that overseas Vietnamese in Udon Thani as well as in Thailand, every time the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month comes, all turn to the origin of the country, the origin of the nation to remember the Hung Kings who had the merit of building and defending the country. "Wherever one goes, remember the anniversary of the ancestors on the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month/ Everywhere, the song is forever passed down/ The country is still the homeland for thousands of years".

Udon Thani is the only place in Thailand to date that has a Hung King Temple. After the Hung King Commemoration Ceremony in 2019 and remembering the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, every year the Vietnamese Association of Udon Thani province organizes the Hung King Commemoration Ceremony to educate the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" and spread the spirit of patriotism towards the origin in the Vietnamese community in Thailand in general and in Udon Thani in particular.

The organization of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Festival also contributes to affirming that, no matter where they live and have deeply integrated into the host country, over many generations, overseas Vietnamese still preserve the traditional culture of their homeland and are an inseparable part of the Vietnamese ethnic community.
