Mr. Franck Bolgiani said that this was his first time visiting the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, and when he arrived at the Museum, he was immediately impressed by the architecture of the building, the harmonious combination of French architecture and Vietnamese folk art. Vietnam and France are two countries with a long history of relations, with many cultural exchanges. The French Institute in Hanoi always welcomes and actively supports cultural cooperation activities between the two sides. In Vietnam, the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum is one of the leading agencies in the field of preserving and promoting cultural and artistic values. In the coming time, the Institute hopes to implement many specific cooperation programs with the Museum, contributing to promoting cultural exchange and enhancing common understanding between the two countries' publics.
On behalf of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, Director Nguyen Anh Minh thanked Mr. Franck Bolgiani for his goodwill. He said that in the development of Vietnamese fine arts, France plays an important role, especially the establishment of the Indochina College of Fine Arts (now the Vietnam University of Fine Arts) initiated by French painter Victor Tardieu, who was the first Principal. In recent times, Vietnamese fine arts have shown many positive signs in repatriating many works from France to Vietnam. He hopes that the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and the French Institute in Hanoi will soon carry out professional activities, cooperate in exhibitions, and exchange cultural and artistic activities.
After the meeting, Mr. Franck Bolgiani visited the permanent exhibition space of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and experienced the Museum's iMuseum VFA multimedia explanation application./.
