On July 6, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee held a meeting on the implementation of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway construction investment project, phase 1. According to information at the meeting, site clearance for the project section through this province is still facing many difficulties and the progress is slow.
Specifically, in component project 3 passing through Ea Kar, Cu Kuin and Krong Pak districts, the affected area is more than 331 hectares, of which only more than 88 hectares (26.6%) have been handed over. Meanwhile, component project 2 passing through Ea Kar, M'Drak and Krong Bong districts, the total affected area is nearly 318 hectares, of which only 15 hectares (nearly 5%) have been handed over. Currently, all localities are facing difficulties in determining the origin of land use, compensation prices, and support for forestry trees, etc.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Canh, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, directed relevant departments, branches and localities to focus on performing well the tasks of site clearance and compensation to construct the project on schedule, disburse compensation funds, ensure capital advances, refunds and transparent compensation payments in accordance with the law.
In particular, the departments are required to promptly remove difficulties for localities to handle effectively according to general regulations; develop a plan to prioritize capital allocation for site clearance work; have a plan for people to fully harvest planted forests after receiving site clearance support...
The Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Construction Investment Project Phase 1 with a length of 117.5 km was started on June 18. The project is divided into 3 component projects: component project 1 (about 32 km), 2 (37.5 km) and 3 (about 48 km), respectively managed by the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the Ministry of Transport and the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee.
Previously, in April, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee directed the investor and related units and localities to speed up site clearance, ensuring the handover of at least 70% of the project site before June 30, 2023.
