Delegates perform the house groundbreaking ceremony.
Attending the event were Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association Nguyen Van Ban, along with representatives of the Cho Lach District Farmers' Association and local authorities.
Ms. Le Thi Kim Oanh's family is in difficult circumstances and has no land to live on. Thanks to the care and support from the local government, she was given a house plot of 48 square meters.
On this land, the Farmers' Association at all levels mobilized Venerable Thich Minh Phu - Abbot of Tuong Nguyen Pagoda (District 4, Ho Chi Minh City) and the Suoi Tien Group's Dharma Group to sponsor 60 million VND to build a new house for the family.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers’ Association Nguyen Van Ban sincerely thanked the benefactors who have accompanied the Association in taking care of the lives of its members. At the same time, he hoped that the Association at all levels, the government and the people would continue to coordinate and create favorable conditions for the project to be completed and put into use soon, helping Ms. Kim Oanh’s family have a stable place to live, work with confidence and escape poverty.
Ms. Le Thi Kim Oanh emotionally shared: “I am really touched and happy. Having a solid roof has been my family’s long-standing dream. I will try to work hard, take care of my children and not let down those who have reached out to help.”
The construction of "Farmer's Compassion" houses to support members in difficulty not only demonstrates a noble gesture, a spirit of solidarity and mutual love, but is also a practical activity demonstrating the responsibility and concern of the Farmers' Association in improving the lives of its members.
