(HG) - The People's Committee of Hau Giang province said that the total public investment capital plan for 2025 assigned by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1508 dated December 4, 2024 is 6,604,052 billion VND. The province has allocated the state budget capital investment plan for 2025 to be 7,122,052 billion VND; 518 billion VND higher than the capital assigned by the Prime Minister. The result of the allocation of the state budget capital investment plan for 2025 to date is 5,999,354/7,122,052 billion VND, reaching 84.23% of the plan, the remaining unallocated capital is 1,122,698 billion VND. Currently, there are 19 projects that have not been submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for planning in 2025, with a capital of 473,749 billion VND.

The total volume implemented up to March 15, 2025 was 535,885/7,122,052 billion VND, reaching 7.52% of the plan, 7.63% lower than the same period. The disbursed value was 285.07/7,122,052 billion VND, reaching 4% of the plan, 11.12% lower than the same period.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, the disbursement rate is still low due to a number of main reasons such as: The appraisal and approval of new projects is still slow; some investors have not paid close attention to the direction work, the completion of procedures is still slow, the investment preparation and project implementation preparation are not ready for implementation. Compensation, support and resettlement work has encountered many difficulties and problems with unit prices, compensation plans, land recovery procedures, etc. This is a major difficulty for the implementation of public investment projects. Some transitional projects have completed all procedures and are being implemented, but the construction, acceptance and payment work has not been accelerated.
