The Mai Vang Award of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper has been recognized as a Vietnamese record by the Vietnam Record Organization - VietKings.
The decision to establish a Vietnamese record was announced at the program "4th Music Exchange and Awarding of some categories of the 30th Golden Apricot Awards - 2024" held at the headquarters of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper on January 6.
Ms. Vo Luu Lan Uyen - Deputy Secretary General of Vietnam Records Organization, on behalf of Vietnam Records Organization - said that over the past 20 years, Vietnam Records Organization has searched for and honored individuals and units across the country in many different areas of life. In particular, focusing on searching for record values that are specialized in content as well as bringing meaning to the community and society. "The Mai Vang Award organized by the Lao Dong Newspaper since 1995 has become a festival for those working in the creative arts, awaited and expected by artists and the public for 30 years. The Mai Vang Award is not only a source of motivation for artists to strive for creativity and dedication, but also contributes positively to the development of the cultural and artistic life of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general. To recognize this journey, after a period of examining the unit's record proposal, the Vietnam Record Institute Council has decided to establish a record for the Mai Vang Award organized by the Lao Dong Newspaper" - said Ms. Vo Luu Lan Uyen.

According to Ms. Vo Luu Lan Uyen, the Vietnam Record Association - Vietnam Record Institute has established a Vietnamese record with the content: "Mai Vang Award - the longest-running annual cultural and artistic award voted by the public and readers in Vietnam since 1995 with 30 editions". The record was established until Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper from December 17, 2024. This record is announced on mass media, on the media of the Vietnam Record system, recorded in annual record publications and announced to the record community nationwide. The record owner is responsible for promoting the image of the Vietnamese record domestically and internationally.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Mai Vang Award, the Ministry of Information and Communications awarded a certificate of merit to journalist To Dinh Tuan - Editor-in-Chief of the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, for his many outstanding achievements in directing and organizing the implementation of the Mai Vang Award, contributing to the promotion and dissemination of good cultural and artistic values.
In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also awarded certificates of merit to 15 individuals of the Lao Dong Newspaper for their outstanding achievements in implementing the Mai Vang Award, contributing to the development of the cultural industry in Ho Chi Minh City.
