Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Le Trong Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Investment Newspaper, said that at this event, experts and investors will continue their journey to find answers to many questions raised half a year ago and continue to decode both old and new variables to find and screen investment opportunities more effectively.

At the 2nd Vietnam Financial Advisors Summit held in early June this year with the theme of Adapting to Changes, as well as at the seminar on Finding Investment Opportunities in the Second Half of 2024, there were many explanations about a series of variables in a context with many complex and unpredictable developments; potential risks from the world political and economic environment still exist and continue to negatively impact Vietnam's economic growth recovery prospects, creating great pressure on macroeconomic management and growth of developing countries, making forecasting and response increasingly difficult and passive.
In the past half year, many predictions and forecasts have come true, and many variables have been clarified so that they are no longer variables. The election that the whole world is most interested in has also shown its results. The moves of the US Federal Reserve that every economy has been holding its breath to watch have also gradually come to light. Many geopolitical conflicts are no longer a surprise. Many unknowns in the world economy have found solutions.
However, along with rapid and strong international fluctuations, a series of changes have created many new variables, even on seemingly clear foundations. Although the results of the US presidential election have been officially announced, different scenarios continue to be proposed related to policy uncertainties after Donald Trump officially takes office.
New conflicts and political upheavals in many parts of the world have led to new concerns about the operation of markets... And with an economy as open as Vietnam, the level of external impact will certainly need to be carefully calculated, Mr. Le Trong Minh suggested.
Macro and micro variables, both domestic and international, are always of particular interest to investors. How will these variables affect the business and investment environment in 2025? What trends will investment channels develop in the coming time? Which asset classes will be good choices next year? These contents are being discussed in the discussion sessions taking place at the workshop "Investment 2025: Decoding variables - Identifying opportunities".
