The price of SJC gold bars increased by 300,000 VND per tael, Saigon Jewelry Company - SJC bought for 99.8 million VND, sold for 102.2 million VND. Phu Quy Company also increased the buying price to 99.7 million VND, sold for 102.1 million VND... This is the highest price of SJC gold bars ever. The difference between the buying and selling price of gold bars is 2.4 million VND/tael.

The price of gold rings also increased by 300,000 - 400,000 VND per tael. Phu Quy Company bought for 99.7 million VND and sold for 102.1 million VND. SJC Company bought for 99.2 million VND and sold for 101.5 million VND... The buying price of gold rings is 2.3 - 2.4 million VND/tael lower than the selling price.

World gold prices increased by 9 USD, to 3,132 USD per ounce, the highest level that the precious metal reached was 3,135 USD/ounce. Gold is aiming for a price target of 3,200 USD/ounce. At the end of March, gold prices increased by 274 USD/ounce, equivalent to 9.6%.

Gold is benefiting from macro factors such as rising geopolitical tensions, persistent inflation and surging investor interest through exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Total assets under management in global gold ETFs now stand at $268 billion, with a single-day inflow of 23 tonnes recorded in March – the highest since 2022.

The recent price increases are partly due to the anticipation of new US tariffs. President Donald Trump is expected to announce reciprocal tariffs on April 2, targeting Canada, China and the EU. The auto tariffs are expected to take effect on April 3, potentially increasing the price of a vehicle by thousands of dollars./.
